Anti-ALT2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ALT2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GPT2 gene, which encodes glutamic--pyruvic transaminase 2. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of ALT2 has a canonical amino acid length of 523 residues and a protein mass of 57.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. ALT2 is a member of the Class-I pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase protein family. Western Blot is the most common application for the ALT2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
