Anti-Arachidonate 12-lipoxygenase, 12S type antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ALOX12 in humans. The gene may also be known as 12-LOX, 12S-LOX, LOG12, 12S-lipoxygenase, and lipoxin synthase 12-LO. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 75.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
