Anti-TRIM34 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tripartite motif containing 34. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 488 amino acid residues and a mass of 56.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the TRIM/RBCC protein family, TRIM34 is known to function as antiviral protein and contributes to the defense against retroviral infections. Synonyms for this target antigen include RNF21, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM34, interferon-responsive finger protein 1, ring finger protein 21, interferon-responsive, and IFP1. TRIM34 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the TRIM34 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
