Anti-Car1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Car1 is a known alias name of the protein nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group I member 3, encoded by the NR1I3 gene in humans. This 352-amino acid residue protein is known to bind and transactivates the retinoic acid response elements that control expression of the retinoic acid receptor beta 2 and alcohol dehydrogenase 3 genes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the liver. Other synonyms for Car1 include CAR and MB67. Some Car1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
