Anti-FKBP prolyl isomerase 5 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FKBP5 in humans. The gene may also be known as Ptg-10, AIG6, FKBP51, FKBP54, P54, peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase FKBP5, and 51 kDa FK506-binding protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 51.2 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
