Anti-Histone H2A.Z antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Histone H2A.Z is a known alias name of the protein H2A.Z variant histone 1, encoded by the H2AZ1 gene in humans. This 128-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the regulation of transcription, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and chromosomes of the cell and features methylated, ubiquitinated, acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for Histone H2A.Z include H2A.Z-1, H2A.z, and H2A/z. These Histone H2A.Z antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
