Anti-CSEN antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The CSEN antigen is another term for the human protein potassium voltage-gated channel interacting protein 3, encoded by the KCNIP3 gene. The protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 256 residues and a mass of 29.2 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane, nucleus, ER, Golgi, and cytoplasm and it is reported to be highly expressed in the brain. The CSEN protein is a member of the Recoverin protein family. Other alias names for CSEN include DREAM and KCHIP3. Western Blot is the most common application for the CSEN antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
