Anti-TLR5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein toll like receptor 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 858 amino acid residues and a mass of 97.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is notably expressed on the basolateral surface of intestinal epithelia. A member of the Toll-like receptor protein family, it is known to be involved with inflammatory response pathways and innate immune responses. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation and glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include SLE1, SLEB1, TIL3, systemic lupus erythematosus susceptibility 1, toll/interleukin-1 receptor-like protein 3, and MELIOS.
