Anti-NPS antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein neuropeptide S. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 89 amino acid residues and a mass of 10.1 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Synonyms for this target antigen include prepro-neuropeptide S. NPS gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for Nps antibodies.
