Anti-NOD9 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NOD9 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NLRX1 gene, which encodes NLR family member X1. This protein is known to function in innate immune responses, among other biological roles. The human version of NOD9 has a canonical amino acid length of 975 residues and a protein mass of 107.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. NOD9 is a member of the NLRP protein family.
