Anti-B4GALNT4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein beta-1,4-N-acetyl-galactosaminyltransferase 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1039 amino acid residues and a mass of 116.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi. It is reported to be highly expressed in ovary, adult and fetal brain. It is a member of the Chondroitin N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminyl-glycoprotein 4-beta-N- acetylgalactosaminyltransferase, NGalNAc-T1, beta-1,4-N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase IV, and N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminyl-glycoprotein 4-beta-N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 1. B4GALNT4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some B4galnt4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Indicated applications for the antibodies listed below include Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
