TrxR1, or Thioredoxin reductase 1, is a human gene encoded by TXNRD1. It may also be known as: Thioredoxin reductase 1, cytoplasmic; GRIM-12; Gene associated with retinoic and IFN-induced mortality 12 protein; KM-102-derived reductase-like factor; Thioredoxin reductase TR1; TR; TRXR1; TXNR. The encoded protein is an enzyme with an amino acid length of 649 and a mass of 70.9 kDa. TrxR1 is a member of the Class-I pyridine nucleotide-disulfide oxidoreductase family. Homologs of this gene exist in other organisms, including: Mouse, Rat, Zebrafish, Frog, Chicken.
