Anti-cep-1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target cep-1 is a known alias name of the protein centriolin, encoded by the CNTRL gene in humans. This 2325-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell cycle progression and cytokinesis. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in testis and trachea.
