Anti-Gnp2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Gnp2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GNPDA2 gene, which encodes glucosamine-6-phosphate deaminase 2. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of Gnp2 has a canonical amino acid length of 276 residues and a protein mass of 31.1 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells. Gnp2 is a member of the Glucosamine/galactosamine-6-phosphate isomerase protein family.
