Anti-H2B antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene HIST2H2BE, or 'histone cluster 2 H2B family member e' in humans. The 126-amino acid protein is a member of the Histone H2B family. The cellular localization is predicted to be nuclear. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
