Anti-cJun antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target cJun is a known alias name of the protein Jun proto-oncogene, AP-1 transcription factor subunit, encoded by the JUN gene in humans. This 331-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a transcription factor that recognizes and binds to the AP-1 consensus motif 5'-TGA[GC]TCA-3'. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated, acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the developing and adult prostate and prostate cancer cells. Other synonyms for cJun include AP-1, AP1, and c-Jun. Western Blot is the most common application for the cJun antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
