Anti-Glycine amidinotransferase antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene GATM in humans. The gene may also be known as Agat, glycine amidinotransferase (L-arginine:glycine amidinotransferase), CCDS3, and glycine amidinotransferase, mitochondrial. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 48.5 kilodaltons in mass. The GATM marker can be used to identify Proximal Tubule Epithelial Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
