Anti-lab antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the lab antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LAT2 gene, which encodes linker for activation of T cells family member 2. This protein is known to function in adaptive immune responses and intracellular signal transduction, among other biological roles. The human version of lab has a canonical amino acid length of 243 residues and a protein mass of 26.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, spleen, lymph node, lung, and appendix. Other names for this target antigen include HSPC046 and NTAL. Western Blot is the most common application for the lab antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
