Anti-PMP70 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PMP70 is a known alias name of the protein ATP binding cassette subfamily D member 3, encoded by the ABCD3 gene in humans. This 659-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the response to xenobiotic compounds, among other biological processes. It is localized to the peroxisomes of the cell and features ubiquitinated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PMP70 include ABC43, ABC43, and CBAS5.
