Anti-OVCH2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ovochymase 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 564 amino acid residues and a mass of 62.6 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. A member of the Peptidase S1 protein family, OVCH2 is believed to be required for sperm ADAM3 processing and consequential sperm fertilizing ability (By similarity). Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include oviductin protease. OVCH2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. These OVCH2 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
