Anti-CALC antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CALC antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MICU1 gene, which encodes mitochondrial calcium uptake 1. This protein is known to function in protein oligomerization, among other biological roles. The human version of CALC has a canonical amino acid length of 476 residues and a protein mass of 54.4 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. CALC is a member of the MICU1 protein family. Indicated applications for CALC antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
