Anti-Tal antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Tal is a known alias name of the protein transaldolase 1, encoded by the TALDO1 gene in humans. This 337-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the rate-limiting step of the non-oxidative phase in the pentose phosphate pathway. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell.
