Anti-EDG3 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The EDG3 antigen is another term for the human protein sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 3, encoded by the S1PR3 gene. The protein is a known receptor for the lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P). Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 378 residues and a mass of 42.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is reported to be expressed in all tissues, but most abundantly in the heart, placenta, kidney, and liver. The EDG3 protein is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family. Other alias names for EDG3 include C9orf108, C9orf47, and EDG-3. Western Blot is a widely used application for the EDG3 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
