Anti-MYST/Esa1-associated factor 6 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MYST/Esa1-associated factor 6 is a known alias name of the protein MYST/Esa1 associated factor 6, encoded by the MEAF6 gene in humans. This 191-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex which is involved in transcriptional activation of select genes principally by acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 and H2A. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell.
