Anti-OR5T2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 5 subfamily T member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 359 amino acid residues and a mass of 40.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR5T2 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 5T2 and olfactory receptor OR11-177. OR5T2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the OR5T2 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
