Anti-CARB antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CARB antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the STX8 gene, which encodes syntaxin 8. This protein is known to function in intracellular protein transport, among other biological roles. The human version of CARB has a canonical amino acid length of 236 residues and a protein mass of 26.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. CARB is a member of the Syntaxin protein family. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for CARB antibodies.
