Anti-PLK3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein polo like kinase 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 646 amino acid residues and a mass of 71.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, Golgi, and cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, PLK3 is known to be a protein kinase involved in cell cycle regulation, response to stress and Golgi disassembly. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include FNK, PRK, serine/threonine-protein kinase PLK3, FGF-inducible kinase, cytokine-inducible serine/threonine-protein kinase, and CNK. PLK3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PLK3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
