Anti-MRPL53 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein L53. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 112 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. A member of the Mitochondrion-specific ribosomal protein mL53 protein family, MRPL53 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include 39S ribosomal protein L53, mitochondrial and mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit protein mL53. MRPL53 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA is the most common application for the MRPL53 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
