Anti-TMEM182 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 182. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 229 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the TMEM182 protein family, TMEM182 is known to be involved with muscle organ development and the regulation of cell differentiation. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. TMEM182 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the TMEM182 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
