Anti-FIZ1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FLT3 interacting zinc finger 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 496 amino acid residues and a mass of 52 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. FIZ1 is believed to be a transcriptional repressor of NRL function in photoreceptors. Synonyms for this target antigen include flt3-interacting zinc finger protein 1 and zinc finger protein 798. FIZ1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for FIZ1 antibodies.
