Anti-TMEM198 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 198. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 360 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the epididymis and gallbladder. A member of the TMEM198 protein family, TMEM198 is reported to promote LRP6 phosphorylation by casein kinases and thereby plays a role in Wnt signaling. TMEM198 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Indicated applications for TMEM198 antibodies listed below include Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
