Anti-TMEM121 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 121. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 319 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is reported to be highly expressed in the heart and detected in the pancreas, liver and skeletal muscle. A member of the TMEM121 protein family, TMEM121 is believed to play a role in MAPK signaling. Synonyms for this target antigen include transmembrane protein 121A. TMEM121 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. These TMEM121 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
