Anti-OCT3/4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the OCT3/4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the POU5F1 gene, which encodes POU class 5 homeobox 1. This protein is known to function in the morphogenesis of anatomical structure and the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of OCT3/4 has a canonical amino acid length of 360 residues and a protein mass of 38.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include 45202, OTF-3, and OTF3. Western Blot is the most common application for the OCT3/4 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
