Anti-Myostatin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MSTN in humans. The Myostatin protein has a reported amino acid length of 375 and an expected mass of 42.8 kDa. The protein may also be known as GDF8, MSLHP, and growth/differentiation factor 8. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
