Anti-Lysine demethylase 4D antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene KDM4D in humans. The gene may also be known as JMJD2D, lysine-specific demethylase 4D, and jmjC domain-containing histone demethylation protein 3D. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 58.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
