Anti-NAP2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NAP2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NAP1L4 gene, which encodes nucleosome assembly protein 1 like 4. This protein is known to act as histone chaperone in nucleosome assembly. The human version of NAP2 has a canonical amino acid length of 375 residues and a protein mass of 42.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. NAP2 is a member of the Nucleosome assembly protein (NAP) protein family.
