Anti-EMMPRIN antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target EMMPRIN is a known alias name of the protein basigin (Ok blood group), encoded by the BSG gene in humans. This 385-amino acid residue protein is known to be important for normal retinal maturation and development (By similarity). In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to have [isoform 1]: retina-specific expression. Other synonyms for EMMPRIN include 5F7 and CD147. Western Blot is the most common application for the EMMPRIN antibodies listed below. Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
