Anti-C1q antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene C1QA, or 'complement C1q A chain' in humans. The 245-amino acid protein has a reported mass of 26,017 daltons. The cellular localization is predicted to be secreted. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
