Anti-OR8I2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 8 subfamily I member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 310 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR8I2 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 8I2 and olfactory receptor OR11-170.
