Anti-HDL antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene HSD11B1, or 'hydroxysteroid 11-beta dehydrogenase 1' in humans. The 292-amino acid protein is a member of the Short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
