The gene may also be known as MC3DN5, QCR2, UQCR2, cytochrome b-c1 complex subunit 2, mitochondrial, and complex III subunit 2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 48.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
