Anti-UTX antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the UTX antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the KDM6A gene, which encodes lysine demethylase 6A. This protein is known to function in chromatin remodeling and cardiac tissue development, among other biological roles. The human version of UTX has a canonical amino acid length of 1401 residues and a protein mass of 154.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include KABUK2 and bA386N14.2.
