Anti-SUMO specific peptidase 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SENP2 in humans. The gene may also be known as AXAM2, SMT3IP2, sentrin-specific protease 2, and SMT3-specific isopeptidase 2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 67.9 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
