Anti-PR/SET domain 16 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PRDM16 in humans. The gene may also be known as PRDM 16, PR domain 16, CMD1LL, KMT8F, LVNC8, MEL1, and histone-lysine N-methyltransferase PRDM16. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 140.3 kilodaltons in mass. The PRDM16 marker can be used to identify Gray Matter Splatter Neurons.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
