Anti-RCOR2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein REST corepressor 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 523 amino acid residues and a mass of 58 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the CoREST protein family, RCOR2 is believed to act as a component of a corepressor complex that represses transcription. RCOR2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. A number of RCOR2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
