The Interleukin 6 Receptor protein has an expected mass of 51.5 kDa, but there are 2 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as IL6RA, CD126, gp80, IL6R1, IL-6Ralpha, and IL-6R-1. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey and rat.
