Anti-OLA1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Obg like ATPase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 396 amino acid residues and a mass of 44.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in all tissues tested but its expression is more abundant in testis, liver, lung, and brain. A member of the OBG GTPase protein family, OLA1 is known to be involved with metabolic processes. Synonyms for this target antigen include GBP45, GTBP9, GTPBP9, PTD004, DNA damage-regulated overexpressed in cancer 45 protein, and DOC45. OLA1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of OLA1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
