The gene may also be known as LYP, LYP1, LYP2, PEP, tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 22, and PEST-domain phosphatase. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 91.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
