Anti-Ribosomal Protein L6 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the RPL6 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 288 amino acid residues and a mass of 32.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and cytoplasm. A member of the Eukaryotic ribosomal protein eL6 protein family, it is a known component of the large ribosomal subunit. Other names for this target antigen include SHUJUN-2, TAXREB107, TXREB1, eL6, 60S ribosomal protein L6, and L6. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of Ribosomal Protein L6 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
