Anti-IQSEC1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein IQ motif and Sec7 domain ArfGEF 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 963 amino acid residues and a mass of 108.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the brain, ovary, heart, lung, liver, kidney and leukocytes. A member of the BRAG protein family, IQSEC1 is known to be involved with cytoskeleton organization. Synonyms for this target antigen include ARFGEP100, BRAG2, GEP100, IDDSSBA, and ARF-GEP100. IQSEC1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chicken species. Some IQSEC1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunofluorescence is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
